seeking to help nanny find full time employment

1. First names: Kristin & Justin 2. Contact information: crowdofstars AT gmail.com 3. Our son was cared for by our former nanny, Ingrid, as part of a nanny share from the age of 4.5 months until he was 2 years old (Dec. 2013 - August 2015). The other family in the nanny share had a child who was 10 months older than our son. They later had a second child, and that child joined the share at 4 months old when their older child entered a part-time 2s program. There was a short period when she was caring for all three children. She never complained or seemed to break a sweat! 4. Out of tremendous gratitude for all she did for us, we'd love to help Ingrid find a new full-time position. She is fantastic at balancing the care and needs of multiple children. From the outside, it looks effortless, but that's only because she seems to have boundless energy and a calm, level-headed demeanor. She has the maturity, warmth, and fun personality ideal for someone caring for babies and small children. 5. Days and hours needed: full time, Monday through Friday. 6. Neighborhood we live in: Park Slope (But, she lives in Midtown Manhattan and knows both boroughs well.) 7. We shared hosting responsibilities with the other family. I'm sure that she is open to whatever works for your families. 8. She is comfortable with pets, but we didn't have any. 9. Our child didn't have allergies, but Ingrid has cared for children with special health needs. She also has been trained in CPR and First Aid. 10. Our building had an elevator. If you don't have one, she is OK with that, so long as she is able to get the children and a double stroller safely in and out of the building. 11. Ingrid knows all the playgrounds in Park Slope, Fort Greene, Prospect Heights, Crown Heights, and also many in Manhattan, including those in Tribeca, Chelsea, the Upper West Side, and throughout Central Park. 12. She is an expert on all the drop-in classes that are out there as well as those that are semester based. She took our son to tons of singalongs, baby gym classes, story times, etc. 13. We had no dietary restrictions, but she is happy to accommodate any that a family might have. 14. Ingrid is available to start immediately. 15. We were tremendously lucky to find Ingrid, and we cannot recommend her more highly. Her other employers are also all happy to provide recommendations. The next families to end up with her are fortunate ones! She is a born caregiver and is fantastic at knowing how to address the varying developmental and personal needs of multiple children at the same time. Under her attentive care, our son developed into a very verbal, sweet, inquisitive, active toddler. 16. We've known about shareournanny.com for some time. I believe it was first recommended to us by a friend when we were looking for our own nanny share.

seeking to help nanny find fulltime employment

1. Stefan 2. nycparents2016 @ gmail.com 3. Manhattan, Queens, or Brooklyn 4. seeking help nanny acquire full time job It is with deep gratitude that we are posting this reference for our current nanny who has worked for us for more than a year. It is for financial reasons that we will be sending our son to daycare in September and we wish we could retain Linda as our nanny longer. We are very grateful to her because our son Christopher, who was just three months old when she started to work for us, has grown under her care into such a happy, communicative, and curious toddler. When Linda arrives in the morning at our apartment, Christopher’s face lights up, he smiles, and then he crawls very quickly (now he is waddling quickly) through the long hallway to greet and hug Linda. Christopher clearly enjoys playing with Linda, listening to music, going to music class, the playground, or to the library with her, and playing with blocks or other toys. It is also obvious how much joy Linda feels in doing these things with our son when she tells us about some highlights of the day in the evening. Linda is very reliable and in addition to her warm and loving personality, she always makes sure that Christopher is safe, healthy, well-fed and in a clean and secure environment. Linda is a US-citizen and a native speaker of Mandarin Chinese and with fluent English. She is highly educated and holds an engineering degree from a Chinese university. She is careful, responsible and radiates positive energy. Linda is also very patient and giving. When Christopher was learning to walk, Linda walked behind him, holding his hands above his head and make sure he did not fall while he was tottering up and down the hallway for long periods of time. On two afternoons of the week, Linda has also taken care of our older son Alexander who already goes to kindergarten and who has a lot of fun playing hide and seek and chess with her. We hope that Christopher and Alexander will be able maintain some contact with Linda in the future and if you are the ones hiring her, you can consider yourself very lucky. We recommend her highly and without any reservations. She is a wonderful nanny who will love your child and keep your child safe. seeking to help nanny acquire full time job

Our 2.5 year old daughter will be starting school in the fall (joining her 4.5 year old sister) and we'd love to find a new family for our incredible nanny, Michelle. Michelle has been with us for three years and has many more years of experience prior to working with us. Both of our daughters have wonderful, loving relationships with her. Their faces light up the moment she walks through the door and they shower her with hugs and kisses when she leaves. While they're together, they have a very special bond — she really gets young kids and has any amazing way of communicating with them. They sing and laugh and have a great time together. Michelle is kind, energetic, attentive and calm. She is a good communicator and takes initiative. She plans out their day by setting up play dates, taking them to museums, and to the park. And she is wonderful at balancing both of their needs. We wish we could keep her but we can't give her enough hours once both of our daughters are in school and so we're hoping to help her find a wonderful family. You can contact Michelle directly at keiara55[at]yahoo.com. You can also reach me at alizadzik[at]gmail.com.

seeking family - already have nanny (Crown Heights)

ISO: Family to join our share 2+ days/week September 8th My 3 yo daughter is going to preschool this fall 2 days a week (Mon/Thur) and we will have space in our share for another family to join on those days from 8am - 6:00pm in our huge Crown Heights apartment with balcony, elevator building. The other family have an adorable and easy-going 1 year old that your child would be with. In addition to the 2 days, there could possibly be 2 mornings/2 afternoons if desired, but the 2 days are critical. In the Fall of 2017, or maybe the summer of 2017, your child could go to full-time. In the fall of 2017 my daughter will hopefully be in UPK, and we will only need afternoon care a couple days/week. In short, this is an excellent time to get your little one (she prefers babies to start off with and grow with them over time) in with the one caregiver you will ever need until your child starts school. I have very high expectations, and she meets virtually all of them. Blanca is the most incredible caregiver I have ever seen. I hear things all the time from fellow parents who see her in the community, reports back are nothing but spectacular, and people saying how much they are impressed by her gift in caring for children. She is never on the phone, she strikes a nice balance between going with the flow of the children's desires, and getting them out of the house to classes, into nature, and to museums. She speaks only Spanish with the kids, so you will have a bilingual kid out of it, which is priceless! Especially given the excellent dual language programs in NYC. She has a very calm and yet enthusiastic energy, she cleans up while the kids sleep and somehow manages to help you feel like you're keeping your life in better shape than before you met her. She is a gem. Blanca speaks Spanish, understands a good bit of English, and texts. When I started with her 3 years ago I didn't speak a lick of Spanish, but have learned to speak, and usually communicate harder things through text translations, except when I'm in front of her and she seems to understand gestures well and derive the meaning of what you're trying to say. Her rate is $10/hour, she gets bank holidays off and 2 weeks paid vacation/year/paid metro card, which would be a small contribution from your family since your child would not be full-time. If you are interested, please let me know. I am handling the initial conversations with families and then will act as translator/liaison between your family and Blanca initially. This share opportunity will begin Tuesday, September 6th. We are trying to make a decision within one month. If you think you know a good candidate, please pass it along! alethea.adsitt @ gmail.com

Seeking to help nanny acquire additional hours

Looking for a family for extra days for our wonderful nanny: Starting in October, I’m am going to be transitioning to work part time (most likely Tuesday and Thursdays) and as such, we won't need our amazing nanny, Sonam, full time. I'm so excited to have more time with our son, but am heartbroken to take our son and nanny away from one another. We would love to help her find another family to help round out her schedule We truly believe our son has thrived as much as he has because of Sonam. She took Fern Drilling’s CPR class when she started with us and has always done research for advice when trying to troubleshoot things with our son. She has helped us implement BLW and the No-Cry Sleep Solution philosophies. Sonam is extremely bright (has a computer science college degree from her home country of Bhutan). Our son and Sonam have SO much fun with one another - he laughs with her a way that he never laughs with us...she is truly the "cool" nanny and we're his parents who he likes to play with :) Please e-mail me at mwrfish at gmail dot com if you would like more information

seeking family and nanny (Midwood)

I am looking for a possible nanny share. I work as an independent and adjunct and is looking for someone who also works unconventional hours. I need child care in the afternoons and evenings, from approximately 3 pm to 10 pm, Monday through Friday. My daughter is 4 months old, but I won't need to start the share until the week after labor day I think, so she'll be 5 months when it is time. I am willing to drop her off at someone's house in the afternoon, but I am also open to someone coming to my apartment, or maybe alternate days. However, be aware of that I do have two cats. The building has an elevator though, as well as a ramp. We (my daughter and I) live in a large one bedroom apartment in Midwood, Brooklyn, on the border to Ditmas Park and Flatbush. It's a very nice area with lots of big houses and tree lined streets. There is a playground just around the corner with swings, and a few blocks south a much bigger playground. The majority of my work is in Midtown Manhattan and I could bring my daughter there and pick her up when I go home at night, but something closer to where we live would probably be preferable. (If I would drop her in Manhattan the time would probably be more like 3:30 pm to 9:30 pm). My daughter is solely breastfed at the moment and won't start to replace one meal with some solid food until she turns 6 months. I am careful to eat as much organic as possible, and avoid processed foods with added sugar (fake or real). The same will go for her when it is time. Hope someone out there is in the same predicament as me finding child care when working opposite hours from normal. My email is malin.tybahl@gmail.com
