Seeking family - already have nanny

ISO: family to share our amazing Spanish-speaking nanny with this summer Looking for what to do with your kids who are out for the summer? Have a short-term need for a younger child or baby? Look no more. We are searching for 1 family to join our nanny share full-time for July and August. One or two kids is a possibility. Our nanny is an amazing caregiver and person, very experienced with children of all ages. She cares for our two 9 month old babies currently, but during July-August we don't need her very much and want to help match her with a family as wonderful as she is! One of our babies will likely join 2-3 afternoons/week, we are still figuring out the logistics. Under Blanca's care, your children will experience Summer! She's great at getting the kids to activities and spends time doing things that enrich learning, whether it be reading or playing together, at the park, library, museum, or anywhere you'd like her to go. She is organized and manages different requests gracefully and always makes things work. Life with Blanca is "tranquilo". We don't ever have to worry about a thing. She is responsible, competent and loving. Blanca is a Spanish speaker and communicates very well with simple language and uses text translations as needed. She understands and can speak a fair amount of English, however if your children are school-aged it would be useful if they spoke some Spanish. If you are interested or have further questions, please get in touch with me Alethea Adsitt: alethea.adsitt@gmail.com Cell:206-355-0841 OR Andrea Orlando andreaorlando13@gmail.com 401-595-4885

She recently started with me, and had excellent references from her previous families (7 years with one family!). She watches my 7 year-old and 1.5 year-old and they already love her. Michelle (or Mimi, as the children call her) has been our twins' nanny for two years (since they were 1.5 years old). She is a professional caregiver with over 20 years of experience working with families and children. She came to us highly recommended from a professional family on the Upper West Side with twins. Michelle remains very close to this family. She is a dynamic and energetic person, competing regularly in marathons. While our twins are high energy, they are no match for Michelle’s vitality, stamina, and vigilance. As a long-time resident of the Upper West Side, Michelle has deep knowledge of the city with respect to places and activities available to children. She takes our children to playgrounds, parks, zoos, bookstores, museums, and libraries, and arranges playdates with other nannies in the Columbia University community. As a result, our children have a platoon of friends, and an ease and comfort in adult settings that betray their age. Our children have developed wonderfully in Mimi’s care. She has helped instill in our children a love of books, learning, and adventure. Michelle is a remarkably skilled and patient teacher. She’s never flustered, always measured, and in complete control of the situation. As first-time parents, we’ve learned a lot observing her. My mother and sister-in-law visit semi-regularly and have commented on how exceptional Mimi is with the children, and how she effortlessly unlocks their joy for creative play. Michelle is a warm, kind, and loving person. She sings in her church choir, is actively involved in volunteer efforts locally, and raised a college graduate of her own. We have immense respect for Michelle, and wish we could stay in New York and have our children remain in her care. We are moving out of state in July for professional reasons. We hope to find a family for Michelle, one that will appreciate her many gifts and true professionalism. Michelle's ideal work schedule would be full days on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, with the option of working half a day on Wednesday morning. However, if this is not possible, Michelle would be totally available to work full time. She is also open to a nanny share arrangement with two different families. Michelle will be available starting mid-July. If you would like more information, please contact me by phone or email (listed above in #2), or call Michelle directly at 718-710-9207. 16. Seeking to help nanny find fulltime employment

Our nanny Sandra is now available immediately for a full-time position in Brooklyn or Manhattan. She has looked after our now 2.5-year old daughter since she was 8 weeks old. Sandra was incredibly adept at organizing a schedule for our daughter full of activities every day, from the Little Gym in Brooklyn Heights to the Tea Lounge in Park Slope, to various libraries… rain or shine. She made healthy meals for her, encouraged excellent behavior and manners (please and thank you), and her positive energy was infectious. While keeping busy, she still managed to provide affection and care for our daughter, who beamed and giggled in Sandra’s presence. Sandra is outstanding in terms of reliability and punctuality. She handles the standard baby/toddler care responsibilities with ease - feeding, diaper changes, bathing, etc. She does light cooking, laundry, and kept our apartment tidy. She has been a nanny for many years and is a mother herself of 3 children. I trusted her 100% with our daughter and highly recommend her to any family looking for care for one or more children. Please email me at baby@denesv.com for more information. Gail

Seeking to help nanny find fulltime employment

May has been an integral part of our family for the past 9 years. We could not have wished for a nanny who was more nurturing, loving, reliable, trustworthy, and pleasant to have around. They say no one can ever care for your child's well-being as much as you do. Well that's just not true about May. Her capacity to love and care for others is enormous and that caring extended to everyone in our family including me (the mom!). For 9 years, I have never had a moment's hesitation that my children's needs would not be her first priority. Friends often compliment me on what sweet natured and happy children we have and I give May all the credit. Not to mention their incredible palettes and eating habits - she made every bit of baby food from scratch since they started on solids! Oh, but that's just the tip of the iceberg. I can go on and on about May and would be happy to speak on the phone. My number is 917-952-3392. We live on the Upper West Side, and our children are now all school age. While we no longer need a full-time nanny, we very much want to help May find a fun and loving family.
