Message from Nanny:
Hello, my name is Iva Fevrier and I am writing a position as a nanny. I am 28 years old and I have been a nanny for over 6 years now. I speak fluent English and creole and some french. I am proud to say that i still have a wonderful relationship with every family that I have worked for.. the kids love me and i love them and the families consider me to be forever a part of their lives and their family :). i am originally from the island of st. lucia where we believe in the saying "it takes a village to raise a child"..because everyone in the household has something positive that they should be able to teach that child. I genuinely love kids and although i do not have any of my own just yet, i do have a beautiful 4 year old niece that I am helping raise not to mention helping raise a younger sister and cousins growing up. I have experience with children from newborns to toddlers and even older...and also twins and multiple children at a time. I enjoy going to the parks, the children museum, music classes, organizing play dates and learning time with other children, and just being all around silly with the kids. I currently work for a wonderful family with 2 years old twins and a 5 year old son, and i started working for this family when the twins were only 2 months old. But my hours will be decreased because all three children are going to be going to school very soon...(the 5 year old BACK to school and the twins started about a week ago)... If there are any other questions you would like to ask please do not hesitate. My references are available upon demand. I hope to hear from you and your wonderful family soon. :)

Best regards,
Iva Fevrier

6. Neighborhood you live in: Morningside Heights/Columbia University
area: Claremont and La Salle (between Broadway and Riverside, near
123rd St.)
7. Are you willing to drop off your child at someone else's apt?
Possibly; right now we host it at our apartment.
If yes, what area are you willing to go to?
Preferably Morningside Heights area. But we would consider UWS, along
the 1 subway line.
8. Do you have any pets? NO
9. Does your child have any allergies? NO
10. Does your building have an elevator (think double stroller!)? YES
11. Does your neighborhood have a playground, nice places to walk?
YES, Riverside Park, Sakura Park, and may playgrounds are around the
corner.
12. Would you be interested in signing up (and paying for) a "nanny
and me" music class or gym class? POSSIBLY.
13. Does your household have any dietary restrictions (vegan,
vegetarian, kosher, etc)? NO
14. When would you be able to start nanny share? Before October, ideally.
15. Any other relevant information you would like to share? We are
currently in a share with another family; we've been in a share since
October that takes place at our apartment. It has worked out very
well, but the other family is leaving in the fall because they are
expecting their second child and the mom is staying home to care for
both of her children. We would love to find a family with a
child who is close to our son's age, 18 months and up, but we will
consider all families because we want to stay in a share arrangement.
Our nanny (she's from Thailand and speaks perfect English) has been
with us for one year, and our son loves her. He gets very excited to
see her each morning. She is extremely reliable, responsible,
conscientious, energetic and fun. She is also very loving and
affectionate, and adores kids—and kids adore her! Other parents at the
playground often comment to us how wonderful she is with children.

We're flexible and willing to work with the right family to
accommodate your needs. Please contact us if you're interested in
discussing this further. Thanks!

Family Seeking Morning/Early Afternoon Hours for our Nanny (UES or Brooklyn)

1. First name: Becky
2. Contact information – rebeccarad@gmail.com
3. Age of child: 3.5
4. Already have a nanny: Yes, we have a nanny. We are looking for a family who needs part-time in the mornings (UES or Brooklyn) or a family who needs full-time but is open to sharing afternoon hours with our daughter (UES only).
5. Days and hours needed: Flexible/Part Time or Full Time (see more detail in question 15).
6. Neighborhood you live in: UES
7. Are you willing to drop off your child at someone else's apt? Yes
If yes, what area are you willing to go to? UES
8. Do you have any pets? Yes – small dog
9. Does your child have any allergies? No
10. Does your building have an elevator (think double stroller!)? Yes
11. Does your neighborhood have a playground, nice places to walk? You will want the nanny to be spend time outside with the children. Yes – Carl Schurz and John Jay
12. Would you be interested in signing up (and paying for) a "nanny and me" music class or gym class? No
13. Does your household have any dietary restrictions (vegan, vegetarian, kosher, etc)? No, but we try to keep it healthy
14. When would you be able to start nanny share? Mid September
15. Any other relevant information you would like to share?
With our daughter starting a morning nursery school program in September, we will only need our wonderful nanny in the afternoons. We are hoping to find a family who needs help in the morning to early afternoon (8am-2pm) or a family who needs a full time nanny and is open to sharing the afternoon hours with our daughter. In either scenario, the nanny would have to pick up our daughter from school at 2:30 on the UES/79th Street. Ideally we would like to find a family on the UES, however if you live in Brooklyn and only need part time in the mornings (8am-1:30pm) that is certainly a possibility as our nanny lives in Brooklyn.

Alternatively, if we can’t find a share, we hope to help our nanny find another full-time position.

We can’t say enough about our nanny and the positive impact she has had on our daughter and our family. It is very common for neighbors to stop us and tell us how well she does with our daughter. My husband and I are flexible. Home base can be your home or ours. Age is not a factor. Our daughter is very social, outgoing and does very well around younger and older children, boys or girls.

Thanks for your time and we look forward to hearing from someone!

Family at 141st & Broadway Seeks Nanny Share (& Nanny) (Hamilton Heights)

1. First name: Tracey
2. Contact information – uksouders@gmail.com, 646-251-0680
3. Age of child: 7 weeks (born June 25, 2009)
4. Searching for nanny share, also a nanny
5. Days and hours needed: full time - weekdays during business hours, and maybe occasional evenings
6. Neighborhood you live in: Harlem (specifically Hamilton Heights) - 141 & Broadway
7. Are you willing to drop off your child at someone else's apt? Yes
8. Do you have any pets? No, but we're okay with pets.
9. Does your child have any allergies? None so far.
10. Does your building have an elevator (think double stroller!)? Yes, but we are also on the 1st floor
11. Does your neighborhood have a playground, nice places to walk? Yes, there is a playground 1 short block away and we are within easy walking distance of Riverside Park and Riverbank State Park.
12. Would you be interested in signing up (and paying for) a "nanny and me" music class or gym class? Maybe later, but our son is a little young now.
13. Does your household have any dietary restrictions (vegan, vegetarian, kosher, etc)? No. But we can accommodate dietary restrictions of others.
14. When would you be able to start nanny share? Fall '09 - September or October
15. Any other relevant information you would like to share? We're looking for a situation where our son can grow and interact with another child or children and so we are looking to have a nanny that would take care of our kid and the other kid(s) at the same time, either in our home or the other child's home, and the two families would split the cost. We don't have a nanny yet, but thought we might find a good nanny-share family and then find a nanny; or perhaps if you already have a nanny and you are looking for another family for a share, we might be a good fit. We are flexible in terms of the age of the other kid(s). On the one hand, it would be great to have a baby within a few months of the age of our son; on the other hand, it might also be great for him to interact with a child that is older. We have a safe, clean, happy home that we can easily child-proof for a kid that can crawl or walk.

15. Any other relevant information you would like to share? We just found out that our nanny unexpectedly lost her other job due to the family's financial difficulty. She works for us Tues-Thurs, so she is looking for something on Mondays and/or Fridays (1 or 2 days). She's been with us for 10 months, since our baby was 3 months. She's a lovely, trustworthy, and warm person and we're really happy with her. I come home every evening to a happy baby and she's always playing, reading, taking her places and teaching her new things. She's very responsible and willing to arrange playdates with people she knows or with our friends. I'd be happy to talk more to anyone who might be interested.

Our son is starting school in a few weeks and we no longer need a full-time person. We are hoping for one of two things: We would ideally like to find some family that might need a person in the mornings through early afternoon. Our son will get out of school at 3 and we’re hoping that we can continue to employ our Nanny from 3 till 6. Alternatively, if we can’t find a share arrangement we hope very much to help our nanny find another full-time option. She is a wonderful caregiver, flexible about her responsibilities and a true team player.
