Some more logistics to think about when considering a nanny share.

I've been asked to comment on other details to consider when forming a nanny share. Here are some things just off the top of my head:
space!!! think about the fact that your apartment should comfortably be able to accommodate two children and a nanny and a slew of other fun items:
a pack and play for the other child
a second high chair for feeding time
diapers, wipes, diaper cream for two children
extra sheets, bedding blanket for other child
other child's clothes and food (we have a bin to put all this stuff in)
bottles, bowls, spoons to feed two children at the same time
extra toys
a double stroller (we bought a used phil and ted plus we have our own single stroller) this probably takes up the most space

also, we have two separate daily calendars for each of the two kids so that the nanny can write down every little thing that they do and that the two families know when their kids are napping, eating and pooping.

Seeking Part time Position for my Nanny, now that child is in school

Nanny is available M-F until 2/3 pm

1. Name: Margaret
2. Contact info: nymom2@gmail.com
3. Age of child - 6, hence seeking part time position for my nanny, I would continue to employ her part time
4. Already have a nanny; searching for a compatible family who needs an experienced part time nanny
5. Days and hours: Ideally, I would employ her from 2 or 3 p.m. most days, but I am also happy to give up one or two afternoons. I don't need her mornings.
6. Neighborhood I live in: Union Square, but nanny can travel between our homes.
7. When would you be able to start? My nanny would be available to start with you by the last week of April.
8. Any further information: We will be away much of the summer. If you would need more coverage during the summer months, that could be possible.

More positive feedback from a blog user!

I came across shareournanny.blogspot.com purely by accident and figured what the heck, I'd send a post, and wasn't sure what to expect. Less than 24 hours later I had my first response, and several more by the end of the day. That first response I received ended up working out perfectly for both families, and we now have a nanny share that we expect to be very successful! shareournanny.blogspot.com delivered better and quicker than any other option I explored.

Success Story!!! Feedback from a blog user!!!

I was pleasantly surprised to come across this blog after searching for what seemed like months for other families that are seeking nanny shares. For a City that claims it has everything, there certainly is a void when it comes to posting and finding families that are interested in doing a nanny share. I searched many sites and came up empty handed with regards to places to post. When I came across this site through my meetup.com group I was excited to say the least. Every family I contacted was extremely pleasant and easy to work with. I was so happy to find a family that had similar needs and interests as my family. We found a great family to do a share with and am so excited for my daughter to grow up with a constant play date. We are thrilled. I know this blog is just starting to gain some momentum but the more we can spread the word, the more useful this site will be.

Family's Nanny is Seeking Three Full Days of Work!

I have a post for you - our nanny's cousin is looking for 3 days/week. She already works 2 days for another family with a young baby. I believe she's free Monday, Thursday, and Friday. She can provide both current and past references who know her well. If someone is interested, they can contact me at lsharoni@aol.com, and I'll put them in contact with her.

Family with full time nanny wants to reduce nanny's hours to 2.5 days nanny will be available the remaining 2.5 days

My husband and I currently hire a full-time nanny for our 22-month old son. We are looking to reduce her hours to about 2.5 days a week. She specializes in taking care of infants and toddlers, and has looked after our son since he was 5 months old. We live in midtown east, so an east-side family would be most suitable. We can be flexible on the days that she works for us, as well as the specific hours in those days. She is trilingual (English, Mandarin, Malay), and has good references (us included).

If interested, please contact Yao Chew at (347) 803-9645.
